Interesting read on UX Patterns for AI , I was once told it will all just be a chatbot ! why are you building a UX with a design system , the answer is to help give context to the AI, Copilot , Apple Intelligence Cursor are all threading their AI into where you work , consume information and create content. Even today, design, especially experience design, remains undervalued. Many still reduce design to “making things look good” rather than recognising it as a strategic tool for shaping user interactions. Experience design goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about understanding behaviour and creating intuitive, seamless journeys. Yet, in industries like healthcare and tech, design is often treated as secondary to functionality. Until businesses embrace design as a core strategy, we’ll continue to see products that work in theory but fall short in real-world use.

Marc van Neerven pointed out a phenomenon I also observe and think a lot of startups do wrong. Dev #1 becomes CTO because of different reasons. Here are a few, perhaps you can add more. 1. They think they need one on the paper, especially when talking to clients/customers or investors. 2. They think they need to give a title “crown” to the Dev who started everything as a reward - or as a retention strategy. 3. Make the dev feel equal to the other CXO’s who often founded the company. If you want to show gratitude to the dev #1, make them co-founder (if applicable) and/or give equity. CTO is a strategic position and should not involve being hands on with product development! Rather higher a fractional CTO that can help you grow until you really need a full time CTO.

We are focusing not only on solutions similar to ChatGPT, we can do that too, no question. We are focusing on improving real business challenges for our clients. Our clients question we answer is: "How can AI give my company a competitive advantage?" This is niche, this is far away from mainstream, this is a challenge, I love challenges 😍 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 I can feel the fascination for the topic, conviction of the quality and utility of the product, and a strong goal oriented way of working within the whole team. The Indian Mapping Wars: A Race to the Bottom The competition in India's mapping industry has taken an unfortunate turn. Instead of focusing on innovation and user experience, companies are resorting to name-calling and spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). This begs the question: - Why aren't companies competing on features and functionality? - Why are CEOs of publicly traded companies hiding behind a facade of patriotism? Stockholders should scrutinize these CEOs' remarks carefully. Do they reflect forward-thinking leadership, or a state of denial about the power of crowdsourced projects? It's worth noting that OpenStreetMap (OSM) is supported and used by tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, ESRI, Meta, TomTom, Uber, Lyft, and Grab. This situation is reminiscent of how Encarta and Encyclopaedia Britannica initially reacted to Wikipedia. Their CEOs' comments from that era might prove enlightening in this context. The message is clear: Ignore OSM at your own peril! As GIS professionals and end-users, we deserve better from the mapping industry. It's time for companies to focus on innovation and user value rather than engaging in petty conflicts.
